🐝 Cycle Cities Buzz - Interesting Intelligence from Iñigio and Others + Introducting Isabella!

Hi Reader,

Introducing Isabella, CC's new MD for the next 6 months.

At Symposium I announced I was taking a break for 6 months. I am happy to introduce to the community Isabella Galavis Lerbs, the new Cycle Cities Managing Director for the next 6 months.

If the name sounds familiar, I was speaking to Maria (Formerly from Valencia bikes, who also attended our Symposiums in Bruges, Bilbao and Marseille), and she recommended her sister for this role. After meeting with Isabella and discussing Cycle Cities and the role, I am confident she's the right person for the job.

Having also worked at Valencia Bikes, Isabella knows our industry and the inner workings of bike tour operations. She's also a digital marketing expert, and has great ideas coming through already about how we can better engage and drive this community forward.

She'll be in the Whatsapp group, interacting with members, driving the social media, and working with me to deliver our new community strategy in April.

Please make her feel welcome in the Whatsapp group!

Tickets cost €349 per person. This is a super-early-bird rate. The price will rise to €399 on April 15, 2026, so jump in early if you want to save the extra few euros.

Groupwork Gold Nuggets 💛

Groupwork was well received in Lisbon, and it will play another central role in Hamburg.

Here is this week's interesting insights from Morning Group A: The Visionaries: Scale and Strategy (Wollo Wollenberg, Iñigo Ansa, Sergio Morales, Manos Panagiotakis, Peter Unkelbach, Andreas Pfeiffer).

Question 3. If you started your business today from scratch, what's the first thing you'd do differently?

See the answers here (cell I2 this week) and whilst you're there, have a look at the gold nuggets from your group. Has AI captured everything you wanted to say? If not, let me know and I can edit the response.

Whatsapp Discussion

The Whatsapp group has been buzzing this week with various discussions.. but the topic that is getting the most interest is bike security. Well worth a read if you're looking for tracking solutions in your city.

1 Month until King's Day!

This busy Dutch long weekend will see European operators have an influx of Dutch bookings. It's a busy baptism of fire🔥for those unprepared.

Be ready for April 25-27. Recuit and train guides now!

With that, I'm signing off from the buzz writing. Isabella will be taking over the comms for the next 6 months. My attention will go to the website and backoffice, and supporting Isabella as and where needed, but mainly, I'll be taking a good break and working on a new album. Studio starts in 2 weeks!

Thanks as always for being here, supporting this great community, and I hope you'll like the new community strategy that lands in April.

As always if you need me, I'll be on email.
